This June marks 25 years since I graduated in Law from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and decided to dedicate myself to this world. I always wanted to be a lawyer: when I imagined myself, I dreamed of practising as I do now.
A quarter of a century later, criminal law remains my passion. It is in the courtroom that the world stops. There is only that moment: the trial and me, and everything else is relegated to second place. I also love the relationship with the client. I have learned something from all of them over the years. And it is that, with them, the verb to listen takes on all the meaning in the world.
The experience of being able to help someone facing a criminal problem is magical. It's like that feeling of passing an exam: you can't buy it. Winning a case is more than a professional success. Losing it is the same: it is more than a failure.
